LETTERS FROM A CHRISTMAS ELF SYNOPSIS - Christmas at the North Pole is in danger! Someone inside Santa’s workshop has sabotaged the holiday preparations and stolen the master Christmas List.
Just three weeks before Christmas, a trusted elf named Pip Tinselwick discovers that someone inside Santa’s workshop is secretly sabotaging Christmas. Toy designs have been altered, shipping labels switched, and several important deliveries sent to the wrong side of the world. Then the master copy of Santa’s Christmas List disappears from a locked office.
Unable to trust anyone at the North Pole, Pip begins mailing letters to you, a noted detective. Each letter contains his account of the investigation, evidence collected from the workshop, and a puzzle that exposes a lie or verifies an alibi. Five elves had access to Santa’s office on the night the list disappeared. Over four weeks, the reader eliminates one suspect at a time until only the saboteur remains.
Can you uncover the culprit and help recover the list before Santa’s sleigh takes flight? Letters From a Christmas Elf is a merry four-week mystery filled with suspicious elves, North Pole secrets, and plenty of Christmas mischief.
HOW WILL LETTERS FROM A CHRISTMAS ELF WORK? - You will receive a letter each week for a total of four weeks. From the mailings, you will read through information from Pip, investigate, solve puzzles, and solve the week's mystery. The first mailing will ship Friday, November 20. Each additional mailing will be on the following Fridays. We are also offering an "All-At-Once" option where you will receive all four letters at the same time. For those customers, the option will ship during the week of December 11. Each letter will be shipped with tracking information. The storyline for the regular Letters from a Christmas Elf and Young Detectives - Letters from a Christmas Elf will be the same. The main difference between the two will be the puzzles for Young Detectives - Letters from a Christmas Elf are designed for ages 8-12 years old.
A BLEND OF PUZZLES AND INVESTIGATION – Mysteries from The Deadbolt Mystery Society involve a combination of solving puzzles and detective work. Take a break from the real world and escape into this mystery for approximately 8+ hours of solving with a difficulty rating of 3/5 locks. Solve time and difficulty rating may vary based on factors such as group size, experience level, etc.
INTERACTIVE MYSTERY COMPONENTS – Utilizing the use of QR codes, as puzzles are solved and evidence is gathered, participants will unlock password-protected QR codes that will advance the storyline and provide more information for the investigation. Some unlocked QR codes may even instruct participants to open sealed envelopes furthering the investigation. The use of password-protected files also helps keep from spoiling the mystery for participants, if information gathered is incorrect. Young Detectives - Letters from a Christmas Elf will not include the use of QR codes or require the internet, except for accessing hint and solution files.
PERFECT FOR INDIVIDUALS, COUPLES, AND GROUPS – Lovers of Halloween, escape rooms, crime shows, mysteries, podcasts, etc. should enjoy solving this mystery. This experience is recommended for ages 13 years old and up. Young Detectives - Letters from a Christmas Elf is designed for ages 8 - 12 years old.
