MURDER AT CLAUS MANOR SYNOPSIS (2026 Christmas Mystery) - Christmas Eve is only hours away when the North Pole’s most colorful residents gather at Claus Manor, the sprawling home of Santa and Mrs. Claus, for their annual holiday dinner. The festivities take a decidedly un-merry turn when Franklin Frost, the unpopular chairman of the North Pole Christmas Council, announces that he has uncovered a secret that could change Christmas forever, and he intends to expose someone at the table. Before he can reveal what he knows, the lights go out, a crash echoes through the manor, and Frost is discovered dead beneath the Christmas tree. With a blizzard raging outside, the culprit must be one of the guests. Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, the head elf, the keeper of the Naughty and Nice List, the sleigh master, and several other festive suspects all have motives and secrets of their own. Search the rooms of Claus Manor, uncover hidden clues, eliminate suspects, locations, and possible weapons, and determine who committed Murder at Claus Manor before Christmas arrives.
THE CHRISTMAS LIGHT CAPER SYNOPSIS (2025 Christmas Mystery) - It's Christmastime, the season of giving, good cheer, family gatherings, and gaudy neighborhood lighting displays that are over the top and out of control. Mr. Clarke, who believes that there is no such thing as too many Christmas lights, has big plans to illuminate his house in such a way that he will be the talk of the entire subdivision this year, putting all his neighbors to shame. Or at least he does until someone steals the key components that he needs for his lighting display. Fearful that he is about to miss his chance to be the "biggest and brightest house around," Mr. Clarke hires us to find out who stole all of his Christmas lights. He is suspicious of some of his neighbors and even some of his family members who don't have much Christmas spirit. Despite the silliness of the job, he is paying well. Given that you could use a break from crime fighting, you take the job. Can you solve The Christmas Light Caper and help Mr. Clarke turn his house into a symbol of Christmas cheer that can be seen from three blocks away?
STEP INTO A MYSTERY - Inside the mystery, participants will read a Beginning Brief and then examine multiple documents of varying type and size. It is then up to participants to recognize clues, connect-the-dots, solve puzzles, and progress through solving the mystery.
INTERACTIVE MYSTERY COMPONENTS – Utilizing the use of QR codes, as puzzles are solved and evidence is gathered, participants will unlock password-protected QR codes that will advance the storyline and provide more information for the investigation. Some unlocked QR codes may even instruct participants to open sealed envelopes furthering the investigation. The use of password-protected files also helps keep from spoiling the mystery for participants, if information gathered is incorrect.
A BLEND OF PUZZLES AND INVESTIGATION – Mysteries from The Deadbolt Mystery Society involve a combination of solving puzzles and detective work. Take a break from the real world and escape into these Christmas mysteries for approximately 2-3 hours of solving each with difficulty ratings of 3/5 locks. Solve time and difficulty rating may vary based on factors such as group size, experience level, etc.
PERFECT FOR INDIVIDUALS, COUPLES, FAMILIES, AND GROUPS – Lovers of escape rooms, crime shows, mysteries, podcasts, etc. should enjoy solving this mystery.
