Throughout the school year, kids can change drastically. Discover exactly what has changed from the beginning to the end of the year by creating a Back-to-School Time Capsule. This project can bring joy to parents and children, as well as teachers and students.

How To Make A Back-to-School Time Capsule

Items Available to Be Printed:
• Back-to-School Time Capsule Label
• Back-to-School Q&A Sheet

Things you’ll need:
• Mason Jar
• Yarn/Ribbon
• Color Cardstock
• Scissors
• Pencil
• Any Jar Decorations

Instructions:
1. Fill out Back-to-School Q&A Sheet. Download HERE.

2. Trace hand on color card stock and cut out

3. Take Yarn/Ribbon and measure from feet to head. Cut the yarn/ribbon at their height

4. Cut out Back-to-School Time Capsule Label and adhere with glue dots/hot glue/or tape. Download Back-to-School Time Capsule Label HERE.

5. Fill the jar with the items and any other glitter/decorations that you want.

6. Decorate the outside of the jar with ribbon or any other decoration available.

7. Seal the jar until the end of the school year.

8. Repeat the measurements at the end of the school year to see how much change occurred.
